Aurélie Brown – Aurélie’s interest in travel can be directly traced to her early attempts to escape her native Picardie (France). Moving past her youthful mistakes – military barracks in The Netherlands, projects in suburban Paris, a goat farm in Provence – she eventually settled in a renovated factory in Chicago. From there, she divides her travels between the standard fare – a Motel 6 in Death Valley, New York’s Park Lane, and quite possibly the smallest hotel room in Tokyo – and the more eclectic – Spanish caves and Moorish castles, a caboose in Nebraska, a lean-to on an Australian island beach, and African huts complete with elephant horns. She’s not even done yet. Next up: a cabin on the Queen Mary II, a yurt in North Carolina, or maybe a sleeping car on the TransPacifico?
Lauren - Lauren is a lover of nature and a mom to two boys adopted from across the globe. She enjoys living life as a multi-cultural family. Between playing the role of chauffeur and short order cook, Lauren has tried to instill a sense of adventure and a love of travel in her two young sons. On most days you will find her and her family checking out new hiking trails, scouting new rivers in which to paddle or planning a weekend getaway. Whether it’s world travel, a road trip across country or a night spent under the stars, Lauren hopes that someday she will get to see it all. Until then, she’s just enjoying the journey.
